The Work on the Cydcoed Project has now nearly completed on the Old Bishops Mill road pathway that goes down to the river in Maesgeirchen. You will see some of the photo's here which will take you through the process of renewing the drainage pipe which carries the mountain rainwater down to the river. When it was cracked and overflowed it washed away and eroded the soil and pathway, this being done over many years exposed stones and rocks which made the pathway a danger to walk on.

The funding of the Cydcoed has now enabled this whole area to have tarmac paths and once again it is a pleasure to see family's with youngsters, prams. Cyclists young and old, disabled ( like myself) now making good use of some of the beautiful scenery that you get when you go down that area.
