CHRISTMAS PARTIES: Children's Community Christmas Party Saturday 6th December 2003 1pm-3pm Open to all children on the estate. Admittance by ticket only. Numbers are limited. Tickets are free and available from the HLC. OAP'S Christmas Party Thursday 18th December 2003 12pm-2pm Open to all pensioners on the estate. Admittance by ticket only. Numbers are limited. Tickets are free and available from the HLC. Also: MATRA: Prize Bingo - Monday 1st December at 7pm at the Maesgeirchen Social Club. Everyone welcome. MATRA CHRISTMAS DRAW: Tickets now on sale. 50p each/£2.50 per book of 5. Draw will be made on Monday 15th December at the MATRA office, 10am. 1st Prize is Playstation two console and inter cue cube game. 2nd Prize is Goodman's DVD player 3rd Prize is Micro CD Hi Fi. Many other prizes - tickets are on sale at the MATRA office, and throughout the estate. MATRA are still waiting for forms back for those residents interested in joining the phone co-op. At no extra cost to residents, MATRA will receive a a percentage of your quarterly phone bill if you sign up. If you require further information, please contact Franklin Scrase at CDF, on 352555. RECYCLING ON MAESGEIRCHEN: Within the next few years, there will be dramatic changes made to the way in which we process our rubbish for collection by the bin men. Currently, land fill sites are becoming full of rubbish far too quickly, when many of the items thrown away in our daily refuse, is recyclable. Gwynedd Council have distributed blue/green boxes to every house on the estate to enable residents to set aside those items, and these boxes are emptied every fortnight. Collection days for these boxes varies around the estate - the idea being to encourage us to start getting used to recycling. Things will change over the next 3-4 yrs, and householders will be penalised for the amount of rubbish they produce. By creating good habits now, it is hoped it will not be such a shock to householders when these changes are finally enforced. If you need a replacement box, please ring the Council's Recycling department in Caernarfon. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE PRIZE BINGO - No one has yet come forward to offer help.
