Communities First Partnership. One day you would not want to cross the bridge.

Heavy Rain. 22nd Oct.2004 brings chaos to streets & roads.

Picture's 1 & 2 show the water and stones flowing down the mountain on the recently built pathway. Top of Penrhyn Avenue.A stream/river of water then poured down the road towards Min y Ddol area.

Pictures 3 & 4 show the tarmac which has now been lifted along with the newly built fence on the Cycle track down by the bridge. The force of water lifted the tarmac but fortunately the bridge itself had a concrete finish or that too may have floated off in the force of the water.

Pictures 5 & 6. Another unfortunate incident where someone tried to cross the river(white bridge area) in their car. This could have been a tragedy had the people got stuck inside. As bad as it is a car can be replaced. It ceases to amaze how each year when these floods come around people still try to cross the water.
