The Environment
Agency and Maesgeirchen's Communities First have been working
together since July to improve the site of the Arfon Cegin.
This river runs through the back of Maesgeirchen along the old
Penrhyn Quarry Railway to the Bangor Port, which is now the
recently constructed Cycle Path. It is planned as my pictures
show the start of a glade on the river banks will be given a
makeover, themed benches and information points. The area is
a great natural habitat for different species of wildlife. It
is hoped everyone will take an interest and be concerned about
keeping the area free of tipping and vandalism. Please report
anyone you see doing this to the Environment Agency on 0800
80700 calls are free and you do not have to give your name.
